The special things in Vivo X21 is in-display fingerprint sensor. It more or less has an all glass body with screen taking up of the most real state upfront. This phone has like 90% screen to body ratio so that means the screen is taking up most of it. there are bezels down below and a little bit up top theres of course the notch. It’s mostly minimal bezels upon the sides.
Comes to the specification it has 6.28 inch screen and hardly any extra space left behind and the back is curved backed glass back with dual camera with 12 MP sensor along with 5MP depth sensor and the LED flash. Now upfront is a full emulate display a super emulate display actually. And it’s configured with in-display fingerprint sensor. The Vivo X21 relies on synaptics version of in-display fingerprint sensor.
Now what is the need of in-display fingerprint sensor you may ask, while there is lot’s of space in the back, well the demand for now is to give full screen phone, the notch is coming in the way. A year back the fingerprint sensor would also come in the way if it was a front fingerprint sensor, so you can call it a sort of solution to attain a full screen smartphone right. So if the notch can be removed and the fingerprint sensor can be embedded under the display, then there would be no ostraction screen can take up 100% space of the upfront. So that is basically the need and the justification to putting the completely new technology which is not really as perfect as say a physical fingerprint sensor but it’s definitely innovative. It kind of feel futuristic and plus it’s whole immersive 6.2 inch display is a fully HD resolution and it support a dci p3 color gamuts. It can automatically get switch between different color gamuts based on the requirements but other than that this is mostly what we have seen from phones from 2018. There is the notch, dual cameras at the back and in the front facing 12MP AI selfie camera. And which i have more or less like standards in these devices.
Now if you ask me for the picture quality, i will take you through it so this is more or less like iphone interface where you get options for a pro mode, panorama, face beauty option this is the default photo taking options, videos and many more. Now upfront is a 12MP camera with AI beautification effect and the back a 12MP + 5MP camera, the 5MP is mostly for check efficiency depth of feel and simulating the portrait mode on it, so this is more or less Vivo X21. it uses fun OS 4.0 which is based on Android Oreo. it has improved a lots what i have seen previously.
