Amazon has launched its latest Echo Spot speaker in india at Rs 12,999. On its launch occasion, amazon has discount offer of Rs 2,500 and make it available at Rs 10,499. It's not only smart speaker but it’s integrated with the company’s smart assistant alexa, the Echo Spot has also featured with a circular display of 2.5 inch diameter and comes with a volume controller and Mic/Camera mute button placed on it’s top, behind the display. At the bottom side it has power charging port and 3.5 mm audio jack that is facilitate for connecting another speaker to the Echo Spot. It is also equipped with 4 far-field microphones with auto enhance noise cancellation and beamforming technology, which is used to pick up user’s voice clearly from noisy voice.
With the Amazon Echo Spot, users can make video calls to anyone who has Echo Spot device or to the Alexa App. User’s will also be able to make a audio calls to the Echo Spot using any other Amazon Echo device or via the Alexa App, which is available for both android and iOS. Echo Spot also comes with specific features in which users can watch NDTV, Times Now, ESPN Cricinfo, AAj Tak and many more. It allows multiple music platform for playing music like Saavn, Amazon Prime Music, Gaana and more. Echo Spot has also facilitate to book a cab from Ola and Uber, order food from zomato and many more. As Amazon Echo doesn’t support YouTube, the company makes preferrable video playback from amazon prime video, Dailymotion and Vimeo.
The new Amazon Echo Spot displays video calls in a PiP mode where the caller is seen in a small window on the right. It also comes with a drop-in feature, allowing users to remotely check-in with other compatible Echo devices in their homes and it features a DND Mode (Do Not Disturb mode) for blocking all drop-ins or calls to the device. To ensure peaceful mind for privacy-oriented users, the Echo Spot features the mic on/off buttons and aforementioned camera, which are said to switch them off like electric buttons.
